The El Campo already has features to benefit the short backed horses, but what if you have an even shorter backed horse? That is where we present the El Campo shorty. *All photos used in this blog post are of the S2 so there is no seat size variation between the photos.
This saddle has the same panel design features as the regular but on a shorter scale. Can be about 1-1.5 inches shorter depending on the model and seat size selected.
The skirting around the back is also different. If you look at the cantle the regular has a longer rear skirt to cover the longer panels. The shorty has a short skirt because there is less panel to cover. If you have a longer seat size there may be less skirting visible in the regular than shown in these photos.
How can you tell if you have the El Campo Regular or Shorty? There are hardware pieces on the rear skirting. The El Campo Shorty has a Phillips screw head and the Regular has a D ring. This makes it easy to tell which model you have.
