Adjusting and feeling for the rock in the saddle.
Rock is the curve of the saddle panels from front to back. The shape of the horse's back will determine how much rock you need. Bridging is what happens when the saddle makes contact with the horse's back in front and rear of the saddle, leaving a gap in the saddle contact under the rider. This causes incorrect pressure on the horse's weight bearing area, and can cause muscle atrophy and compensation muscle development. This video shows you how to check your saddle for proper contact and how to adjust your DP saddle so that the panels fit your horse's back properly.
